This is post number one, a very experimental effort.

First I joined Facebook to see a photo of someone overseas, and learnt why my children have been spending hours on end on networking websites for years! I found many people I knew as children or teenagers. I now have invites to link to many of my children's friends- even people I see every week. There are also some of my friends, of a certain age, like me.

Now I've started a blog, not knowing where it will go. ....The great unknown.......from January 2009 onwards....
